Tristan's Must Have Items In Your Personal Travel Bag

Whether you're taking a road trip or jet-setting around the world, you always have a personal bag full of the items that keep you comfortable and busy. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of things that you should/can bring with you; but these are my favorite essentials that I keep in my travel bag no matter where I am going:

Coleman All Purpose First Aid Kit: Where ever your adventures take you, you never know when you're going to need a band-aid, a safety pin, sting relief, or a razor blade. This little kit has it all and goes right in your bag just in case. Price: $4.99

Hydro Flask water bottle: The mission to stay hydrated doesn't pause when you're on the go, that's why I travel with the 21oz water bottle that keeps your water cold for up to 24 hours! Price: $29.99

Carry all for your toiletries: I can't have all of my little toiletries rolling around in my bag getting lost when I need something, so I re-purposed a gift bag from Sephora into my carry-all.

Nivea Creme: I don't know about you, but when I travel my hands dry out and swell a little, so I need a lotion that is thicker and creamy to set in to give my skin more moisture, and I found that in Nivea Creme. Price: $1.99

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster: As you can tell I am into keeping everything hydrated from the inside out. This hydrating booster does just that, boosts the moisture levels in your skin to give it that extra kick, either from at full day at the beach or maybe one too many margaritas whatever the deal. To me is serious must have! Price: Varies

Kleenex: What aren't Kleenex good for! Runny noses, napkin replacements, toilet paper, you name it; they can take care of the job. Price: $1.00

Dermalogica Multi-active Toner: When I wake up on a plane or just after feeling like my skin needs a pick me up, I carry this spray toner with me to bring down the redness in my face and for a nice cooling refresh with hints of Lavender and Balm Mint. HINT: I buy the bigger 8.4 oz bottle and a dollar store spritzer bottle and split it, that way I have it on the road and at home. Price: Varies

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Sometimes your flight spans over a couple days, or you just can't take the time to wash your hair. This is my go to for a hair refresher with a fresh scent and no show powder finish. Price: $2.99

Miss Spa Energize Gel Eye Mask: I know that when I'm traveling, I get worn out, we like to get as many experiences in as we can, but the downside of that is I get bags under my eyes. The cooling gel helps bring down the puffiness and locking in the extreme moisture your skin needs to stay looking refreshed! Price: $2.99

Burts Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lip Balm: Burts is my all time favorite chapstick. I find it to be the longest lasting and most hydrated, and who doesn't love the fact that it's all natural. Price: $8.95

Silk Sleeping Mask: Sometimes you just need a little help blocking out the world around us. I use a black silk eye mask. I like silk because it's lightweight and won't pull on the skin around your eyes. Price: Varies

Charmin To Go Flushable Wipes: Getting real here, sometimes you spill the coffee in the car, there just isn't any toilet paper around, or you know traveling can get to your system. To Go wipes will be there to save the day. Price: $0.89

Samyo Massage Glove: Who doesn't need a little massage after sitting for an extended period to get that kink out of your neck or the circulation back in your legs, or stretching out your muscles after a nice hike. With this handy dandy easily packable mitt you can ease that pain anywhere, you are. Price: $8.90

Rip It, Write It, Draw It Journal: I found this fun journal at our local Half Price Books. It's a fun little activity book that promotes creativity with each turn of the page. I thought it would be fun to bring it on all my trips, and with each activity completed date and sign where we were at, a fun documentation :) Price: $15.99

Ray Ban Sunglasses: You always need eye protection no matter how sunny or overcast, it's necessary to keep that glare out of your eyes! I found that these Ray-Bans are my favorite the "Erika Classic" with the lightweight injectable nylon you hardly know they are there! Price: $140.00

Cheera Power Plus DANBOARD version: We are technology lovers, so it's always necessary to have extra power to keep our phones charged for music, pictures, or most importantly Google maps along with keeping my Kindle and headphones charged! So necessary, you never know when it will come in handy. Price: $39.99

Jabra Move Wireless Stereo Headset: Whether you just need a break to listen to something or a way to drown out the sound of a crying baby on a plane, these headphones have been there for me. I like these headphones over the others I have used, 1: For a reason, there were in my right price point for great sounding wireless headphones. 2: They are WIRELESS, how many times have you bent over or walked by something and your headphones have been pulled off/out of your ears, this has changed that for the better! Price: $59.82

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite: I grew up not reading books, so I don't have that attachment to books but even if I did having the Kindle is a life/back saver when traveling. Who doesn't want something to read when you're planning to camp out or lay on a beach somewhere. This bad boy allows you to upload as many books as you would like without the inconvenience of carrying around the weight of all those books! Price: $119.00

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups: I am a sucker for sweets I always need a treat on hand, with these delicious, delicious little cups of goodness I get the best of both worlds sweet and salty. Price: $2.99
